FROM POVERTY TO EXTRAORDINARY ARTIST AND POET
Akiane Kramarik was born in Mount Morris, Illinois, a remote area in North America where she and her siblings were home schooled by their mother. They had no access to any form of media at the time, so when Akiane started drawing at the age of 3 years, her parents were astonished by her abilities.
Akiane is most famous for her portrayal of Jesus Christ in her painting the Prince of Peace which she painted at 8 years old. She describes often having visions of heaven and that is where most of her art inspiration comes from.
At 23 years of age, Akiane is an extraordinary young lady, artist, poet and author of 3 bestselling books. Akiane has overcome great challenges to get to where she is today. She was interviewed by CNN and Oprah when she was still a child and was known as a child prodigy and a genius. True Life Stories was honoured and privileged to meet Akiane and share her story.
