The fear of doing DEI work

I took a poll recently from my audience about what gets in the way of them doing DEI work and guess what was at the top of the list?
“I’ve never seen so many Negros in one place.”

Those were the words an elderly white man uttered at an Easter church service I was attending with some friends. We were visiting this church and supporting some of my friends in the choir.
