Whoops, I broke something…

…and it changed everything.

Two months ago, something inside me broke wide open.

We’d just touched down on Kenyan soil. My home. A place I hadn’t been able to return to for years. (Thanks Covid).

I looked around.

My husband was scrolling through his phone trying to connect to the local network.

My children were beyond excited…impatiently waiting for the seatbelt light to turn off so they could jump out of their seats.

Why was I the one fighting to hold myself together?

What I’ve realised in the months since is it was because I haven’t been home since I started teaching anti-racism work.

Being back in Kenya, I was able to embrace my identity in a way I hadn’t before.

It was many heart-bursting-wide-open moments being in that space, amongst my family and friends, sharing my culture with you via the magic of Instagram stories.

I felt like I was living in the bright colours I love so much.

In Kenya, the everyday noise of my day-to-day was dialled right down. I felt free.

You know what it’s like.

When you’re busy with school drop-offs and Zoom meetings, your brain becomes so saturated with information overload that there’s often no space left for your dreams, values, and thought leadership.

When you’re in a place where you belong, whether that’s at home or on holidays, there’s freedom to be truly you.

Sadly, once you return to your regular routine it begins to fade and then, despite your best wishes you fall back into the status quo.

Intentionally Inclusive is the break you need to come home to yourself and your values.

It’s where you can recognise the good person you are inside and then make the space to do the work that you need to do.

Let this be the trip to Kenyan soil that reminds you to embrace your highest self, the one you connect with when you’re on holiday or at home.

The person who isn’t satisfied with the racial inequity they see play out around them.

That person waiting and ready to do the work.

Because nothing feels better than living out your values.

Find and embrace your highest self inside Intentionally Inclusive

I’m finding ways to keep open that part of me the Kenyan trip unlocked. That’s why I’m determined this event will be completely different from the cookie cutter “masterclasses” that have disappointed you before.

My students love the warm, heart-centred spaces I hold for them inside REPRESENTED, so that’s why I’ve decided to share that style of coaching with you inside Intentionally Inclusive.

Reserve your spot inside and come live for a chance to be coached 1:1 with me (it’s free!)

With love,
Annie
