BIPOC Space Holding
Being a woman of colour in a predominantly white space can be daunting to navigate.
… And despite how talented you are as a coach, unless you have the lived experience of being a Black, Indigenous or Person of Colour there’s likely things you’re just not equipped to hold space for.
Which is why offering specialised support for your BIPOC clients where they can be held by someone who understands what it means to hold a marginalised identity adds immense value to your programs.

Hey there lovely,
I’m Annie Gichuru, racial equity coach and consultant.
In 2020 as I watched the life of George Floyd being squeezed out of him while he lay helpless on the ground with a knee to his neck, saying he couldn’t breathe, asking for his mama, my heart broke in a way it hadn’t before.
I knew I couldn’t be silent anymore. It was time to start sharing the need for racial equity in my industry.
Being a black woman as well as a migrant has meant often going silent in order to “comply” with the rules and not upset the status quo. As a mother I often think about the legacy I want to leave my children who mean the world to me. I want to ensure they and others who are People of Colour get to see themselves represented in positions of leadership, influence and in business too.
That’s why I’m committed to creating a future where racial equity becomes the norm by supporting online business owners to build racially diverse, inclusive and equitable businesses in a way that honours their values.
You cannot be what you cannot see.
Representation matters and I’m here to lock arms with you so we can begin to change that narrative for women of colour.
The feedback from sessions with Annie has been phenomenal.
She’s supported my clients to be more confident in the online space, to really own who they are, to take risks and step out of their comfort zone in a way that they never have before.
