Hiring a coach, joining a mastermind or learning from a mentor often means choosing to let someone see your business, your decisions and sometimes even yourself from a perspective you cannot access on your own.
That kind of guidance can be incredibly valuable. Yet there is an important distinction between allowing yourself to be led and gradually becoming dependent on someone else’s judgement.
In this episode, I’m examining coachability, self-trust and the authority we can give to the people we learn from. We’ll consider the power that exists within coaching relationships, why success can make someone’s opinions carry more weight than their actual area of expertise, and whether the support you’re receiving is strengthening your confidence to think, discern and make decisions for yourself.
Because being teachable and trusting yourself do not have to compete with one another. The best coaching can challenge your thinking while helping you build greater confidence in your own judgement.
I’D LOVE TO HEAR FOM YOU
