YOU'RE AN ALLY

Welcome, I’m so happy you are here. We absolutely need you and I’m here to remind you how much your presence makes a difference to this work and how we can together go even deeper.

Press play to find out how to amplify your allyship

You are a genuine ally who doesn’t let fear or overwhelm get in the way of building an online business that’s racially diverse, inclusive, and equitable.

Because of this, you’ve…

… invested in educating yourself about matters to do with race and inclusion in order to provide safeR spaces for People of Colour

… created racially equitable policies and procedures to ensure your business practices are reflective of your values

… called in a diverse group of clients, friends, peers, and contractors

… been willing to speak up when you see injustices occurring (even if it feels scary to do so)

You are proud of the business you’ve built but you also understand this is lifelong work, it’s how you got here in the first place and you need to keep doing the work to stay educated and continually providing a space that is as inclusive as possible.

One of the most powerful steps you can make in your business right now is to invest in the support of a dedicated DEI educator, one who will support you by being your Chief Representation Officer so that you can have a dedicated partner to support you in ensuring the different areas of your business are operating through a racially inclusive lens, one that will continue to drawn racially diverse and like-hearted clients for years to come.

Hey there lovely,

I’m Annie Gichuru, racial equity coach, helping online business owners build racially equitable businesses so they can be intentionally inclusive.

In 2020 as I watched the life of George Floyd being squeezed out of him while he lay helpless on the ground with a knee to his neck, saying he couldn’t breathe, asking for his mama, my heart broke in a way it hadn’t before.

I knew I couldn’t be silent anymore. It was time to start sharing the need for racial equity in my industry.

Being a black woman as well as a migrant has meant often going silent in order to “comply” with the rules and not upset the status quo. As a mother I often think about the legacy I want to leave my children who mean the world to me. I want to ensure they and others who are People of Colour get to see themselves represented in positions of leadership, influence and in business too.

That’s why I’m committed to creating a future where racial equity becomes the norm by supporting online business owners to build racially diverse, inclusive and equitable businesses in a way that honours their values.

If that’s the kind of future you’re interested in too – I’d love for us to journey there together.

Now you know you’re an Ally, here’s how we can create impact together
